April Devotions . . .

Touch of Faith Ministry morning devotions are taken from the book Christ Triumphant written by Ellen G. White.

Calebs Still Needed Today, April 25  "And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it." Numbers 13:30. Pastor Ephraim explains that God is looking for individuals who are faithful to His word, believing that what He has said He will accomplish. He wants individual that live by His word rather than how they feel at a particular moment. Listen NOW

Learning to Trust and Obey, April 24  "Now if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations ... will speak, saying, Because the Lord was not able to bring this people into the land ... therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness." Numbers 14:15, 16. Pastor Ephraim explains that prayer does not eliminate God's demand for obedience nor does it eliminate the consequence for disobedience. God's children understand that they must obey to be saved. Listen NOW

God's Outward Seal Signifies Inward Faith, April 5  "When your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord's Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt." Exodus 12:26, 27. Have you ever wondered what God's seal is all about? Pastor Ephraim uses the experience of Israel during the Passover to explain. Listen NOW

We Labor for Time and Eternity, April 4  "He smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses." Exodus 12:27. Pastor Ephraim explains that the child of God must recognize that he is in a battle. He must put on the armor of God and contend for the faith, striving to win souls as he passes through this life. Listen NOW

We Need Always to Lean Upon God, April 3  "By faith he [Moses] forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible." Hebrews 11:27. Pastor Ephraim explains the importance of learning to stand alone with God. He shows that God uses periods of isolation as a training ground for His people. Listen NOW

God's Methods of Training Different From Man's, April 2  "Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian." Exodus 2:15. Pastor Ephraim explores the dangers of relying of secular training to do God's work. He shows how Moses had to be emptied of self before he could do God's bidding. Listen NOW

We Can Grow In Faith As Did Moses, April 1  "By faith Moses, when he had come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season." Hebrews 11:24, 25. Pastor Ephraim explains that we much choose what we will stand for and who we will stand with. Listen NOW
