Not Enough Room: Tithe

Every weekend millions, if not billions are being stolen; yet no one is arrested. Countless numbers of people, all over the world, are involved, but no one seems to care and some are not even aware. Yet, God says, that if they would stop He would open the “windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” What is it all about? Are you involved in this matter?

 

 

1.  According to the Bible, what portion of you income belongs to the Lord?

“And all the _______ of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S: it is holy unto the LORD,” (Lev. 27:30).

 

2.   What is the “tithe”?

“And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the ______ in Israel for ___  _____________, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation,” (Numbers 18:21).

 

3.   Where is the tithe to be brought?

“Bring ye all the tithes into the ___________, that there may be meat in mine house,” (Mal. 3:10).

 

4.   Was tithing part of the patriarchs beliefs?

Abram “gave him ________ of all.” Jacob said, “of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the ________ unto thee,” (Gen 14:19, 20; 28:20-22).

 

NOTE: Both Abraham and Jacob practiced tithing.

 

5.   How was the tithe to be used?

And, behold, I have given the children of _____ all the tenth in Israel for an _____________, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation,” (Num. 18:21).

 

6.   Did Christ do away with the tithing system?

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay _____ of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these _______ ye to have _____, and not to leave the other undone,” (Matt. 23:23).

 

7.   What promise does God make to those who give their tithe to Him?

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a ________, that there shall not be room enough to receive it,” (Mal. 3:10).

 

8.    What else does God ask of His people?

Bring an ________, and come into his courts,” (Psalm 96:8).

 

9.   What determine how much offering we give, and how should we give?

Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, ___ God hath __________ him, that there be no gatherings when I come.”Every man according as he __________ in his _______, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver,  (1 Cor. 16:2; 2 Cor. 9:7).

 

10. What is the fate of those who continue to knowingly rob God of His tithes and offerings?

Ye are _______ with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.” “Know ye not that the unrighteous _______  ____ inherit the kingdom of God?...Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God,” (Mal. 3:9; 1 Cor. 6:9,10).

 

NOTE: Not only is the curse experienced now, but it shuts the individual out of heaven.

 

11.  Are you willing to change you prayer life to be in harmony with the will of God?
