LAW vs GRACE: Does one cancel the other?

(Download ".pdf" lesson)

It is absolutely true that the law does not save us, but it is also absolutely true that we will not be saved by breaking it. Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). What is the relationship, then, between Grace and the Law? What is the purpose of Grace?” “What is the purpose of the Law?” “And how do they work together for our salvation?” Let us find out together.

5.   Can God’s law ever be change?

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the _____ to fail” (Luke 16:17). “The works of His hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever” (Ps. 111:7, 8).

6.   Did Jesus abolish the law?

_______ not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” (Matt. 5:17, 18).
